About us

Since 1996,  BEA Dithmarschen GmbH has  successfully operated the biogas plant in St. Michaelisdonn, Dithmarschen. The plant was the first large biogas plant in North Germany in which other organic waste (Cofermente) besides manure was also utilized  . By using Cofermente the gas yield can be substantially increased.

The system is authorized by Federal emission control law and can process 40,000 Mg substrate per year. The quantity of the organic wastes can amount to 15,000 Mg per year.

BEA Dithmarschen is a member of the German national quality community and in 2002  received the RAL quality award  for our fermenting product.

The plant is authorized according to § 15 of the EU hygiene ordinance since 2003. Also sinc 2003 the company is certified as a recycle facility.

In 2005 a new division was established, in which food wastes are incorporated and processed.

Since 2002 , BEA Dithmarschen cooperated with the Canadian company Customs Bio-Gas Inc., which plans and builds biogas plants for the Canadian market and is advised by BEA in all processing questions.
